I have 17 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings such as youth and family services, school-based settings, graduate clinics and college counseling centers. I began my doctorate in clincial psychology at the Wright Institute, in Berkeley, California, in 1995. In 2002, I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Children's Hospital Oakland, in the department of Psychiatry, where I provided crisis management and psychotherapy for children and families dealing with issues such as grief and loss, trauma and terminal illnesses.

In addition to my clinical training, I worked for two years in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University managing a research study that evaluated the benefits of family therapy on eating disorders in adolescents. I have lead discussions in highschool, undergraduate and graduate settings in the Bay Area. Some of these have included topics such as The Clinical Implications of Guilt in the Treatment of Young Adults, Guilt and Shame in the Therapeutic Alliance, Basic Counseling Skills and Personality Disorders. I have published a peer reviewed article inThe Journal of Psychotherapy and have also been involved in research with the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group.

Throughout my training and career, I have maintained an interest in dreams and in-depth psychodynamic psychotherapy. I currently maintain a private practice in Oakland and San Francisco California, where I see individuals 18 years of age and older.
